There are a variety of mounting options for the installation of Orange Research differential pressure gauges. They can be mounted to panels, walls, pipes or brackets. Before selecting a gauge mounting option consider that the process piping brought to the gauge can often hold the gauge in place.
Most Orange Research gauges have ¼-inch NPT process ports. The process piping and fittings that are normally attached to our gauges are usually stainless steel, and easily strong enough to hold our gauges in place. Because of this, extra mounting may not be required.
Often, vibration, shock, or just the manner of presenting the gauge for the user requires extra mounting configurations. We have several options available to consider when determining how to install your differential pressure gauge.
Panel Mounting
For panel mounting a differential pressure gauge installation we offer 2 options:
Wall Mounting
Mounting differential pressure gauges to walls or other flat surfaces requires a mounting bracket. Our gauges have threaded mounting holes on the pressure body, usually on the back or bottom surface. Orange Research Mounting Brackets are universal mounting plates that have a number of holes that allow mating to our gauges and then to another flat surface. Some of our mounting brackets are right angle brackets to allow for more involved mounting configurations.
Pipe Mounting
Pipes, up to 2 inch in diameter are often in close proximity to the gauges. The pipes are useful surfaces for positioning many components in a process system, including differential pressure gauges. Orange Research offers Pipe Mounting Brackets with U-bolts that allow for flexible positioning options. The plates attach to our pressure body while the U-bolts collar the pipe and then attach to the plate. The plate and U-bolts together represent a firm fastening combination.
