Model 1536 DG

Model 1536 builds on the proven performance of our popular model 1516, offering a quick-change replacement for Barton model 227 gauges. Designed for straightforward installation, the 1536 is available with a standard lead time of approximately two weeks and provides a cost-effective alternative at up to 50% lower cost than comparable replacement options. 

Our model 1516, with 2% accuracy, has been successfully used as a replacement for Barton gauges with 1% accuracy for decades across a wide range of industrial applications. For many processes – including filter monitoring, differential pressure measurement across orifice plates and venturis, heat exchangers, and level measurement – a 2% accuracy specification provides reliable performance while delivering significant cost savings. 

For existing Barton 227 installations, replacing or servicing a gauge has traditionally required maintaining the original mounting arrangement or modifying the installation to accommodate a different instrument. Model 1536 eliminates this challenge by matching the Barton 227 mounting configuration, allowing replacement with minimal disruption and installation effort. 

Model 1536 features a bright, easy-to-read 6” (150 mm) diameter dial with custom options including white labeling or multi-color arcs, while maintaining our standard production lead time. 

The standard model 1536 is available with either brass or aluminum construction. 

Standard configuration has the high pressure on the left (Hi-left). Hi-right is a standard no-charge option. These left and right configurations can be changed in the field by changing the back manifold.
